Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Digita App World ("Lumi", "we", "us") handles information when you use the Lumi mobile app and this website. Lumi is designed to be privacy-first: there is no account to create, and your skincare history is stored on your device by default.
1. Information we collect
Lumi works without an account. The information involved is:
- Skin profile you provide — answers to the onboarding quiz such as skin type, concerns, sensitivities, allergies, pregnancy status (if you choose to share it) and budget preference.
- Photos you capture or choose — selfies for a skin scan and product-label photos for the ingredient scanner.
- Text you enter — pasted ingredient lists and messages you send to the AI coach.
- Activity you log — completed routine steps, streaks, and saved results.
- Limited technical data — basic device/app information needed to operate the service (for example, to route requests to our server). We do not use advertising identifiers and do not track you across other apps or websites.
2. How we use information
- To analyze your skin photo and generate a wellness snapshot.
- To build and update your personalized AM/PM routine and product assessments.
- To power the AI coach so its replies reflect your profile.
- To schedule the optional reminders you turn on.
- To operate, secure, and improve the app.
3. AI processing of photos & text
To generate your results, photos and text you submit are sent securely to our backend and processed by our AI provider. This processing is performed to return your result to you. We do not use your photos to identify you, we do not sell them, and they are not used to build advertising profiles. Our backend is not designed to retain your photos after your result is produced.
4. Storage & on-device data
Your profile, scans, routines, product checks, coach history and logs are stored locally on your device (in the app's on-device database, with photos kept in the app's file storage). This information is not uploaded to a personal account on our servers. If you delete the app, on-device data is removed with it.
5. Sharing & third parties
We share information only with service providers that help us run Lumi:
- AI provider — processes the photos/text you submit to generate results.
- Subscription management (RevenueCat) and the app stores (Apple, Google) — to process and validate purchases.
- Hosting/infrastructure — to operate our backend.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Subscriptions & payments
Lumi offers optional paid subscriptions. Purchases are handled by the app store (e.g. Apple App Store) and our subscription provider, RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status (active or not) but never your full payment card details, which are handled by the store.
7. Notifications
If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device at the times you choose. These are generated on-device; we do not send marketing push notifications.
8. Retention & deletion
Because your history is stored on your device, you control it. In the app's Settings you can export your data or delete all data at any time. Deleting all data removes your profile, scans, photos, routine and logs from the device.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the UK GDPR / EU GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Much of this you can do yourself in-app via export and delete. For anything else, contact us at [email protected] and we'll respond within the time required by law.
10. Children
Lumi is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has used Lumi, please contact us so we can help.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) for data sent to our backend. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
